(PART 1 of a 2-part cache)
N 41° 37.602
W 081° 12.355

Glaciers left a rich soil till,
Which supports many trees on valley and hill.
From “Maple” Grove, the “White Oak” you must take,
At trail junctions, two lefts you will make.
Follow the ridge line to the White Oak Trail sign,
And take the trail less traveled behind it you’ll find.
Proceed to a large downed “red oak” you’ll see,
Turn right 75 feet to a small stump of a tree.
Inside is where you’ll find a clue,
To take you to geocache part 2.

Summer 2005 Cache is located at Swine Creek Reservation.

N 41° 25.624
W 081° 01.213

Swine Creek is where you’ll test your will,
To find the “Valley” filled with glacial till.
Towards the shelter you must head,
Past the water pump, the clue next read.
At trail junction stay straight as you go,
Toward the river about 50 feet or so.
Veer off to the right, along the ditch you must follow,
To two slender sycamore trees growing in the hollow.
Cross over the ditch, straight ahead you are bound,
To find a tree lying flat on the ground.
Piled under branches at the base of the tree,
This is where the cache will be.

Spring 2005 Cache is located in The Rookery

N 41° 30.355
W 081° 17.213

The Rookery sits in a low wet land.
But this was not created by man.
It was about 10,000 years ago,
A glacier left a lake of old.
Admire the wetlands on the Interurban Trail,
You might see a goose, heron or rail.
Across the Chagrin, ‘round the bend you’ll go,
Past the culvert, 120 steps or so.
Into the woods, off to the right,
A deer exclosure you will site.
Behind it you’ll find a large downed tree,
This is where the cache will be.
