Snowmobiling

Ride By Permit How to Get Out There

As part of its mission to provide outdoor recreational experiences to residents of every age, every ability and at all times of the year, Geauga Park District has issued permits to snowmobile at Observatory Park (on the Woodland Loop and Nassau Connector trails) and along a portion of The Maple Highlands Trail (from Mountain Run Station south to Burton-Windsor Road) each winter since 2016.

Snowmobiling is allowed, by permit only, when conditions are right for tracking trails.

Please note that affiliation with an Ohio State Snowmobile Association (OSSA)-affiliated club in Geauga County is required for permit approval. If you are an OSSA outside of Geauga County and wish to apply, please email permits@geaugaparkdistrict.org for details and instructions. Upon submitting the online application below, your permit will not be valid until a signed copy is received via email.
