These educational programs are designed to nurture what famous naturalist Rachel Carson so eloquently identified as the inborn “sense of wonder” for the natural world around us, introducing or reinforcing Grade Level Indicators in the Ohio Academic Content Standards for Science.

The Foundation for Geauga Parks wants to help you bring your students out of the classroom and into the natural world. As schools face increasing financial pressure, the Foundation wants to work with your local PTO group and provide needed transportation funding so Geauga County students can participate in naturalist-led Park District programs.
