MEET MEME IN THE PARK (Ages 12-18)
It’s time for more young people to discover their parks. So if you’re a 12- to 18-year-old living in Geauga County, earning a $15 VISA gift card this summer will be as easy as creating a meme with a picture you took in a Geauga Park District park. That’s right — everybody’s a winner! Plus, all qualified participants will be entered to win one of five Apple airpods!

WHO: Geauga County residents ages 12-18
WHAT: A meme creation promotion, where every participant gets a $15 VISA gift card and the five best memes win Apple airpods! All prizes will be distributed during exclusive events including free pizza and soda from 11 AM to 2 PM on Saturday, August 7, at Headwaters Park’s Boathouse, and Saturday, August 14, at The West Woods’ Turkey Ridge Shelter.
WHEN: Now through July 27 at 11:59 PM
WHERE: Your Geauga Park District (get a complete list of parks you can visit to take your meme picture by clicking Parks above)
1) Create an original meme utilizing a photo they took within a Geauga Park District park.
Rules: Photos used in entered memes must be original, captured by YOU within a Geauga Park District park, and feature content unaltered by photo editing software. However, basic editing to add meme text or improve the quality of a photo is permitted. Content may include, but is not limited to, landscapes, people, wildlife, trails, facilities, natural discoveries and/or scheduled or unscheduled activities. Pictured individuals must grant consent to be featured in your meme. And all memes must be rated PG – keep them inspirational, informative or funny, not crude or rude – and original, not plagiarized or otherwise sourced, unless attribution is given for a quote.
2) Share your original meme on social media (ie. Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook or Twitter) with both #geaugaparkdistrict and the name of the park visited in the photo, i.e. #thewestwoods or #waltercbestwildlifepreserve.
3) Email a screenshot of your meme being shared on social media, as well as the file of the meme itself, to email@example.com with Subject line “MEET MEME IN THE PARK” and the following information: name, age, address (to verify residency only), phone number, email address, and the name of the Geauga Park District park where the photo was taken.
